Linen Technology Tracking announced the launch of linentracker, a system for tracking and monitoring linen supplies throughout a hotel. The system’s technology uses passive Gen 2 UHF RFID tags that withstand commercial washing, drying and pressing. Real time display of item location and history are enabled via customized software and can be accessed through a dashboard.
3M introduced its new Dynatel 2500 series of electrical cable locators, which have six active frequencies that can be used individually, or four frequencies that can be used simultaneously. There are also four induction frequencies. The company’s new 2550 and 2573 models can locate conventional passive electronic markers, and can write, read, and lock programmed information into 3M RFID electronic markers.
FileTrail has launched its RFID Evidence Management solution, an automated system for Justice and Law Enforcement that enables proper evidence handling and provides a secure chain of custody. The system also allows users to alarm doors and building exits to safeguard evidence from unauthorized removal.
Getac introduced its RFID tracking & management system, which combines active and passive technologies and software. The offering can incorporate temperature and motion sensing devices which can allow for exception reporting when environmental conditions exceed a specified threshold. The system can be used in logistics, warehouse management, retail, healthcare management, manufacturing, and supply chain management. The software also enables integration with Oracle, Microsoft, and SQL databases.
